Bodhisattva - (Sanskrit) An enlighted one who incarnates, refraining from entering nirvana, for the soul purpose to save others. Worshiped as a deity in Mahayana Buddhism.

born again - The spiritual birth which occurs in the physical world, or secular reality. (1) The spiritual empowerment of "babes in Christ," candidates for the teachings to whom spiritual reality extends – "eyes with which to see and ears with which to hear." (2) (non-physical) birth – as the "birth of the Christ-within" – (3) realized by initiates of a disciplines nature, when we proceed to soul maturity.

born with a veil - Infant born with a thin membrane enveloping the fetus, denoting that the infant is psychic.

Brahma - The chief member of the Hindu Trinity, regarded as the Creator of the Universe.

Brahmanaspati - Hindu name for the planet Jupiter. A deity in the Rig-Veda. Known in Vedic mythology as Brihaspati, signifying the power of prayer. His wife Tara was carried away by Soma (the Moon).

breathwork - Working with breath inhalation and exhalation patterns to achieve emotional, mental, spiritual and material changes, e.g. rebirthing.

Brotherhood, The - The Hierarchy of Elder Brothers before the Throne, as called in Christian tradition; saints and holy ones who have emerged from the human condition into greater oneness with the Christ. Having passed certain tests at first initiation, the aspirant is deemed worthy of the attention of the Brotherhood (or Hierarchy). Also known as the White Brotherhood or the Great White Brotherhood. White, in this case, having nothing to do with color; meaning purity.

brow chakra - The 6th chakra, the third eye, found above and between the brows, in the center of the forehead. The source of ecstasy, ESP, clairvoyance, clairaudience, heightened intuition, and paranormal powers. It influences the pituitary gland which is the master control center of the mind and body affecting all the other endocrines. Its symbolic form is a six-pointed star. Indigo, a pure mid-night blue, is the color of the brow chakra.
